Below are 5 changes that I personally noticed after going Paleo:
1. More energy
Energy was the first change I noticed. I didn’t want to watch HULU on the couch as much. Instead I wanted to get projects done around the house or I wanted to go for a run. Either way my body definitely noticed the impact of eating Paleo foods.
2. Fewer ‘bad carb’ cravings
I normally LOVE carbs. Chocolate cake, bagels, pasta… you name it! But after eating Paleo for one month my cravings changed to things like bacon, avocado, peaches and red wine. I can’t tell you exactly why, but feeling better about how I look and feel made me crave a whole new set of treats.
3. Leaner muscles
Eating nutrient-rich foods helped me lose excess fat and gain muscle definition. I did monitor my macro-nutrients and calories in the first month so I know that helped, but even since then my muscle definition has been easy to maintain.
4. Confidence boost
I lost several pounds after going Paleo and you know that feeling when your jeans fit just right … makes me feel like a million dollars.
5. Better sleep
Let me start by saying that I was and am a great sleeper. I never have trouble going to sleep and I usually get 8-10 hours a night. That being said, when I went Paleo I noticed that I was feeling rested with fewer hours. I started waking up after 7-8 hours and when I woke up, I was ready to get moving. Weird, but I like it!
